We Believe

The young people we work with likely have just as much if not more life experience, knowledge and perspective to share with us as we have to share with them

That fun, creativity and humor are important medicine

Everyone has something unique to offer and helping them see that for themselves is one of life’s joys

Meet the Angels Landing Team

Everyone should have a support system to help them successfully navigate life. Our team makes a measurable impact on the lives of former foster youth by building lasting relationships, creating a community of resources and support, and giving a platform to the voice of the youth we serve. Along with our employees, we are grateful for the many volunteers who dedicate their time to sustaining our vision of supporting former foster youth in achieving their view of success.

Mia was born and raised in St. George, Utah. She graduated from Utah Tech University in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in business marketing. She was recognized as a high honors student, with a cumulative GPA of 3.8. She brings compassion and inclusivity everywhere she goes. She loves doing anything from creating content to personal shopping. Being creative is a huge passion for her! She is excited to put her strengths and passions to great use with Angel Landing.

Rachel is excited to bring her fun, loving, and happy personality to the foundation. As a woman who was an at-risk youth, she is passionate about bringing the services that would have made a positive impact on her to those who need them most. She shares her story as a public speaker and published author. In 2019, she founded ShineSLC, a nonprofit focused on youth outreach events. When she’s not working on events, she can be found crafting or enjoying the transformation of a re-decorating project. She is a proud mother and enjoys supporting and empowering women of all ages.

Rachel Marie

After aging out of the foster care system, Sheri considers herself extremely resilient. She finds it empowering to experience trials and walk away with knowledge and confidence that helps with her life’s journey. She is enthusiastic about assisting and empowering foster youth as they age out of the system. She is a kind and caring individual, who finds joy in traveling and learning about different cultures. Sheri wants to continue to use her voice to impact the foster care community and advocate for positive change.
